Approach

I believe in our bodies’ innate abilities to heal, recover, and transcend issues including chronic pain and pelvic pain. My job as a health practitioner is to help you connect with that source within you and to create a container for that process to happen.

Issues in the pelvic region are often complicated- it is a place where some great pleasures and joys are born, it can also be a source of pain, shame, confusion, and trauma. Many of us have mixed feelings regarding some of our fundamental functions- urination, sexuality, defecation. My approach to pelvic floor therapy is to help my patients regain a sense of agency, embodiment, control, and knowledge over this part of the body to help rehabilitate dysfunction and reclaim a sense of ease and confidence that often gets stripped with issues like painful sex or incontinence.

My clinical approach utilizes compassionate communication, active listening, respectful touch, and client collaboration throughout the treatment process.

“I can’t speak highly enough of Nancy, and how much she has helped me grow, discover, and love my body… I feel like I know myself more than many other women, who have been having sex for years. I feel confident, and healthier, because all aspects of myself, AND this power source of myself, is active, and happy too.
For anyone who feels a little shy, or embarrassed, or just scared to do Pelvic Floor Therapy, I’d say just GO, and try it. It’s a journey, but it’s totally worth it.”
